Howdy!

Why are we doing the Valentine’s Mini-Event early? Find out next week. Anyway, we’ve tried something a little new with the competition tiers in this mini-event (and we’ll test it in a big event too), so we’d like to know what you think of it.

The payouts for the tiers haven’t changed, nor have the harvests required for each tier. Each successive tier in the mini-event will get harder. Give it a try.

Game Update: Wood Grouse Patch

Howdy hunters!

Wood Grouse get their first patch today, here’s what’s in it:

Additions/Changes:

  • 2 Rares added to the Wood Grouse, Albino and Pale. The furs (feathers?) will apply to both males and females.
  • Trophy poses now match the store image, together with their updated icons.
    Wood Grouse’s flee distance increased.
  • We slightly reduced the population of Wood Grouse on all maps as there were too many.

Bug Fixes:

  • Using the Wood Grouse box caller while crouching made the player stand up straight – fixed.
  • Wood Grouse fanned its tail after death – fixed.
  • Deployed Wood Grouse decoys left in the game did not show on the launcher – fixed (together with the double tripod stands).
  • Pointer spooked the Wood Grouse too far – fixed.
  • Pointer did not change its position once finding an animal, even if the animal was moving – fixed.
  • Spinning Duck Decoys had issues with attraction and we fixed them according to the store descriptions – fixed.

Game Update – Wood Grouse

Howdy hunters!

At long last. We’ve kept you guessing (some of you got closer than others) but here they are at last: WOOD GROUSE. That’s Capercaillie for those of you inclined to show off your Scottish pronunciation and spelling ability.

So what equipment will be available? Decoys, a caller and a locator are available in the store, but they are huntable without any gear, like Turkeys. They also release with their Trophy Poses available in the store.

Where can you find them? Hirschfelden, Hemmeldal and Val-de-Bois.

Look forward to Wood Grouse Missions and competitions soon.

As always, please report any bugs to us so we can iron out any problems quickly. Even if we’re aware of them, more information can help speed things along.

Oh, one last thing, before we forget: Classic Streams are coming back! They will be back in their Thursday spot, but on occasions when our lovely and talented streamer can’t manage a Thursday, we’ll do our best to make it up to you on another day. And who will be doing them? Find out soon 😉
