As you know, we’ve always been striving to make theHunter the most realistic hunting game ever, so we thought you’d share our sheer excitement about the release of a new item, which is going to bring genuine, cutting-edge realism to your goose hunting experience.
This video is just a sneak peek for you to know what we’re up to, the actual release date will be announced soon.
Feel like giving someone thumbs up after a great hunt? We’ve got you covered! It’s today that we’re rolling out our new feature – emotes. Now your in-game character can make a whole bunch of gestures, such as wave, listen, ask someone to move or stop by using a hand, give thumbs up and down. In order to be able to make those gestures, you have to be a member.
To activate emotes, press the ‘T’ key and choose the gesture you want to make.
We hope that this feature will add a fun real-life touch to your hunting experience. Go crazy 😉
Share your thoughts and profile pictures featuring emotes in this thread.
UPDATED LIST. Since some of you have missed mobile payments we’ve, in collaboration with our payment partner, added a few new options in some countries. Please see the list below to see what offers are available in what countries. Our aim is to add more options over time.
In some countries, like the US, the carriers don’t support Premium SMS, we are however working on getting some kind of coverage up and running there as well. We have no idea of how fast this can happen, especially with the Holiday season coming up.
As many of you may be aware there has been a bug around for a while where achievements can be wrongly awarded when using unpermitted weapons.
In the coming days this bug will be removed and all achievements will be retroactively adjusted. This means that all harvest performed using unpermitted weapons will be subtracted from the amount that makes up each achievement and in cases where there is no longer a sufficient amount of permitted harvests the achievement will be removed.
Naturally this also affect HunterScore and the HunterScore leaderboard since less achievements means a lower score.
Expansive Worlds has teamed up with the famous archer and avid bow hunter Laura Francese to create new exciting content for the game.
The first thing to come out of this partnership is a set of all new multi-species competitions developed in close collaboration with Laura that are now part of the regular competition schedule, starting today. To learn more about Laura and her latest adventures, we highly recommend that you like her page on Facebook.
We’re aiming to release multiplayer this coming Monday, 3 June. So make sure you play a lot during the weekend since the site and game will be down for a long time on Monday while we’re updating.
Due to the server problems we experienced during the weekend we’ve extended all memberships by two days.
We’ve also added two membership days to all free members as well (so you can hunt all animals in all reserves). These will expire in 48 hours from now.
The sale on memberships and membership bundles have been extended as well and will end midnight tomorrow, Tuesday, CET.
Once again, we are very sorry about the down time.
Time to check your inboxes! Some of you have received an e-mail with information about Multiplayer Alpha testing! Follow the instructions and happy hunting together!
If you didn’t get an invite this time, don’t worry, you’ll get another chance soon enough.
We are terribly happy to finally be able to announce that we have been working on a multiplayer mode for theHunter for quite some time now. Multiplayer has been the most requested feature for years so we hope you are as excited as we are.
We still have a lot of work to do to complete it, but in order to do so we need help, from you, with testing. Starting from Monday next week, 8 April, members can sign up for Alpha testing the new game mode. Space is limited, so a select number of lucky players will be handpicked. Each game will feature up to 8 players, and the first iteration is strictly co-op – just like real life. In future updates, competitive play will also be supported.
So if you want to apply for alpha testing, log in on theHunter.com on Monday a click the banner.
Do we have some exciting news for you? We sure do!!!
For a long time we’ve felt that we need to spice things up in theHunter. But we’ve found ourselves having a hard time to think outside the reality of theHunter that feel new and fresh. Therefore, we hooked up with the extremely talented game designer April Primera. Some of you have probably come across April’s work before, she’s designed mega hits like Cheated 2012, the Joke 2 and Prankster mania. April really helped us to think outside the box and we think that the new game mode supplements the core game really well. April’s boyfriend, the famous sound designer Riendo Duro, has created both the music and sound effects for the new mode.
The story behind the new game mode is the following: The Moose in theHunter have been bitten by a vicious daemon and have transformed into evil and aggressive creatures. Luckily, they are stuck in a large pit, the Pit of Doom, but you never know when they will be able to escape from there It’s your job to get into the Pit of Doom and slay them, before they spread this evilness into the wild. The only thing that can kill an infected moose is true passion. Luckily, this is something that can be purchased in Doc’s outfitters in the form of a new weapon, the .75 Cal truPassion blunderbuss, and ammunition, .75 truPassion.
The new game mode is being tested right now and will be released as soon as we feel it’s done.
